Rule 6
Purchase of goods
: All the goods that need to be brought from abroad such as paper and ink types required by the Gorkhapatra printing house should be estimated and cleared by the manager one year before the goods are out of stock and brought through the Central Purchase Department of the Government of Nepal. However, if the work of the printing press cannot be done according to the provisions written above, the manager can purchase the market or have the work done as follows:-
(a) If paper is to be purchased, the manager may purchase up to five hundred rupees at a time and if other necessary goods are to be purchased, the goods manager may purchase up to one hundred rupees at a time.
(b) In case of purchase of goods worth more than the amount mentioned in clause (a), the manager must take the director's approval and the director can approve the purchase of goods up to two thousand rupees at a time.
(c) If the machine breaks down and needs to be repaired, the manager can spend up to twenty rupees a time. If you have to spend more than that, you have to take the director's approval and the director can give approval to spend up to five hundred rupees.
